    《登科后》(Dēng Kē Hòu), a work by Táng Dynasty (唐, 618 - 907) essayist and poet 孟郊 (Mèng Jiāo)

  • Story

    The Táng Dynasty (唐, 618 - 907) poet 孟郊 (Mèng Jiāo) was born in poverty, but he was extremely intelligent and studied very hard. Despite this, it took him many years and many attempts to pass the grueling imperial examination. When he got the news that he finally did pass, he was ecstatic, and he wrote a poem to commemorate the event. 走马看花 comes from part of the poem.
