《桃花源记》(Táo Huā Yuán Jì), a work by the poet 陶渊明 of the 东晋 (dōng jìn, 317 - 420) dynasty
In the Jìn Dynasty (晋, 265 - 420), there was once a fisherman who was paddling along a river. As he paddled along, he found himself in the middle of a peach orchard, with great trees growing on either side of the river's banks. Baffled, he continued paddling along, until he came across a mountain with a cave mouth that faintly emitted light. He exited the boat and proceeded into the cave.
At first, the passage was narrow. Then he found beautiful groves of bamboo and trees, and large, fertile fields. He also met countless people, and he discovered that here, women, children, and men worked hard, there were no taxes, and there was no forced labor. Everyone was on good terms with one another, and the atmosphere was exceptionally peaceful. Overall, the area was completely disconnected from the real world — it was absolute paradise.
