Unable to find any entries related to "website_icon.png." If that doesn't seem right, you can check out a list of all the chengyu entries here, or you can make sure you know the idiosyncrasies of the search engine:
Pinyin searches:
-
Must be accented (rén shān rén hǎi) or unaccented (ren shan ren hai). A search with numbers (ren2 shan1 ren2 hai3) won't work
-
Must have spaces between each syllable. The system isn't programmed to treat "rén shān rén hǎi" as the same thing as "rénshānrénhǎi"
English searches:
-
The search engine will check search terms against an entry's English idiom equivalents, but as of right now it does not check terms against its English definition. So, searching for the expression "sea of people" will return the entry 人山人海 (rén shān rén hǎi), but searching for the English definition of "vast crowd" will not, even though "vast crowd" is one of the translations of 人山人海
Partial searches:
-
You can search for parts of words! This includes characters, pinyin (unaccented and accented), and English idioms. For example, searching for 人 would return 人山人海 (rén shān rén hǎi) and 盲人摸象 (máng rén mō xiàng).
-
For pinyin searches, make sure you're searching for more than one syllable. If you don’t, your search for "ji" might return entries that include "jiu," "jian," etc.
For even more details on how the search feature works, you can read the usage guide. If you've read that, tried everything, taken a look at the master list of all entries, and still can't find the entry you're looking for, there's a chance I haven't created a corresponding entry yet. You can reach out to me via the Contact page or at contact@laowaichengyuguide.com, and I'll create an entry for you.
